Dance and Movement for young adults

We meet Wednesday mornings during term time. Our enthusiastic dance coach Charlotte takes us through a programme of gentle exercises and more active dance routines. The venue is Camborne Community Centre.

Truro Workshop Programme

Meeting on Sunday afternoons our wide ranging workshops equip the young people with skills and knowledge transferable to the stage. Workshop themes include vocal coaching, street dance, improvisation, puppetry, circus skills, microphone techniques and songwriting.

Stage Performance

A programme of theatre productions around Cornwall and beyond. Many of our shows are devised from original material written by Drama Express members. Previous venues include the Minack Theatre, Truro Cathedral, Hall for Cornwall, Newquay Lane Theatre, Old Bakery Studios, St Ives Art Centre and Truro Redannick Theatre. The Redannick is also the venue for our Showcase performances where young people are provided with a platform to showcase talents to a live audience.

Writers Circle

Meeting in Truro this Monday morning group looks at many styles of writing including poetry/ verse, playwriting, journals, short essays and story writing. Members are encouraged to read out their own work and bring in pieces of writing to share with others.

Isles of Scilly Group

Reaching out to a slightly younger age group, workshops and performances take place mainly in school holidays. The rich history and wild environment of the islands is often the creative focus of the children and young people.
